Mermaids

Hi!

Shani is our host today at Little Red Wagon

and she would like to see " Slim Pickings" – that is to say slimline cards!

This was a really fun card to make...I love these little Mermaids :

Here's a closer look:

These are the supplies I used:

The stencil is from Simon Says Stamp (I love that it's slimline size).

The sparkle on the mermaid's tails is from the Nuvo paste.

...and of course I used my ever trusty Copic markers!

Thanks for stopping by.

'til next time

Do Nothing Day

Hi!

This weeks challenge at Little Red Wagon is brought to us by Chrissy and she would like to see

 " At Least Two Layers".

This is what I came up with:

I used the Classic Lg. Oval dies by Nestabilities and the stamp set "Happy Cat" by Your Next Stamp.
The oval is thee layers deep and the Cat is attached with adhesive foam strips ( some of which I had to cut into tiny little pieces!!)

This card is going out to a newly retired girlfriend!

 Have some fun today!

'till next time,

Doni

Hello

Hi!

I've been enjoying some totally un-directed playtime in my craft room today.

This is what I came up with:

and here are the supplies I used:

None of these supplies are new. In fact, who knows how old they are!

I came across them while I was putting away some stencils and dies I did just get and my mojo led me to using them instead of the newer ones...it felt good.  Tomorrow I'll try out the new ones! :)

Till then,

Doni

PS: just noticed that I forgot to say that the background was from my stash of backgrounds I created a long time ago using the stencil with some lightly tinted dimensional paste.

Spring

Hi!

This week at Little Red Wagon

Imke's challenge is in the form of a question...Spring or Fall?

I chose Spring:

I used the stamp set from Create A Smile called "crokisses". After stamping the image I colored it with my Copic Markers ( V12, V15, V17, Y21,YG13 and YG09). Then I fussy cut it out and let me tell ya, those leaves were a challenge!

The thin frame was cut from a Simon Says Die Cut called...wait for it...A Thin Frame!  LOL

I finished by stamping the greeting and adding a few gems.

Thanks for looking.

'till later,

Doni

April Showers

Hi!  It's Wednesday and this week there is a new challenge over at Double D Challenges.

"April Showers" is the challenge ...

Here's the mood board for inspiration:

I focused in on the red umbrella.

On the stamp the cute little frog was holding a flower, so I just put tape over the flower...inked up the stamp and then removed the tape ( I can't even tell you how many times I forgot to do that part!!) then stamped the image . Then I die cut the Layered Umbrella die from My Favorite Things , colored it red and put it in the frogs hand...easy peasy! Oh,and to finish the card I added a few rain drops with the brush end of a light blue Copic marker.

Thanks for stopping by and if you join us at Double D Challenges. you could win this prize:

'till next time,
