Make it with Ribbon

Hi!  This Wednesday at Little Red Wagon it is Brenda's turn to pick a challenge and she would like us to Make it with Ribbon.

I about drove myself crazy with trying to think of what to make using ribbon! Nothing was working,so finally I just started gluing down ribbon and this is what I came up with:

I used ribbon, enamel dots and a cute sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Hopefully, whoever receives this card will appreciate modern art and not just think I lost my mind! lol

Come on and join us ! Head over to Little Red Wagon, check out the lovely creations from the other “Girlfriends” and link up your own project

See ya later...Doni

Spots & Stripes

Hi! I hope everyone is having a good day.  Wednesday's seem to come along quicker these days, but here we are and this Wednesday the challenge at Little Red Wagon is all about seeing spots or stripes or as in the card I made ...both!

I love the color combo of black white and red....reminds me of the old joke.."What's black and white and read all over (a newspaper)! Geeze, I know ...I'm really old! lol   Besides the designer papers of stripes and spots I used a die from My Favorite Things called Stacking stars. Then I used a little Wink of Stella to give them some sparkle. The sentiment was stamped using Versamark and red embossing powder.

Orange & Black

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

A new challenge is starting at
Double D Challenges.

The theme is Orange & Black ... So, Halloween immediately comes to mind! If you're looking for inspiration here's the mood board and the prize you might be lucky enough to win:

Here's the very clean and simple card that I made:

It's hard to see on the photo above , but there is some dimension:

I did this by taping a rectangle die and a circle die together and cutting  four out of black cardstock and one out of black glitter paper. Then gluing them together.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I would really do a happy dance if you'd click the button on the side to follow me!

Pumpkin time

 Hi!

Today is bright and sunny and only in the 50's ...in other words a perfect Fall day!  There are pumpkins everywhere...for sale, outside of peoples homes as decorations, Pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin latte's...well you get the idea! That is what inspired today's card.

This is the first time I have used this cute embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp.  I used a small cube of copper pigment ink to rub over the pumpkins to give them a little different color than the background.

The sentiment strip was printed on my computer.

I'm entering my card in these challenges:

Can You Handle The Pressure?

and

Craft Rocket Challenges

Bats about you!

Hi! Happy Wednesday!

Doni here and this week I'm hosting the "I'm bats about you" challenge. So when making your projects this week just include a bat in there somewhere and you're good to go!

Here's the card I made:

This big 'ole bat is a really old Quick cuts die.....I only attached the head so the wings could fly,  and of course I made them sparkly with Wink of Stella!

You can check out everyone's "Bats" over at Little Red Wagon.

'till next time,

Doni

Happy Halloween

Today I made a card to play along with my friends brand new challenge.

It's called Crazy is our fame - STENCILS are our game. How neat is that?! The optional theme for October is Halloween Colors.  This is what I came up with:

I used Neon Orange card stock for the background . The stencil I used is from Simon Says Stamp and it's called Diagonal Stripe. I used Ripe Persimmon, Twisted Citron, and Black Soot Distress Inks. Whimsy Stamps provided the sentiment. Then I added a really thin strip of black card stock and a tiny little spider which was laying on my craft table and to make him scary I added two little white eyes .

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!

Spooky

Hi! Welcome!

It's Wednesday again ...and this week at Little Red Wagon , Chrissy would like to see a Spooky Halloween!   So here goes Spooky:

To get the spooky Jack-o-lantern face to really stand out, I cut fussy cut extra faces  (about 4)...then ran a black marker around the edges and  filled the depressions with Stickles. Finishing the card was easy...just die cut the shape ( MFT- stitched rounded rectangles die) and add the lettering. This word was on a really old Quickcuts die.

Octoberfest

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

A new challenge is starting at
Double D Challenges.

The theme is Octoberfest ...so anything to do with October, even Halloween will work. If you're looking for inspiration here's the mood board and the prize you might be lucky enough to win!

Here's the card I made:

....and yes, in my world candy corn does count as a vegetable!

I used a stamp from Newton's Nook for the candy corn,   a die from Impression Obsession for the wreath,  and the 2 star embellishments were from who knows where...they've been in my stash forever!

I hope you'll have fun playing along.

Hugs,

Doni
