Challenge #669 - It's Hot!

Hi everyone!

Doni here and I am your hostess this week at Little Red Wagon.

I chose the theme "It's Hot!" So this week we would like to see you use

warm colors...like reds, oranges and/or yellows on your creations.

Here's what I did with hot colors:

The thanks is a die from Simon Says Stamp and the background is a leftover  watercolor scrap.

If you would like more inspiration, check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Then head on back here and link up your project.

Christmas Birdies

Hi! Happy Thursday! I came across this Penny Black stamp set called "Winter Wonderland" and fell in love with it.  So, I ordered it and it just came in the mail...I just love to get goodies in the mail! ...So, today I'm coloring these the adorable Christmas birds:

Now I have to start thinking about how to make a cute card with them...

I hope you're also doing something you love today. Hope to see you again soon.

Hi everyone!

On this beautiful August day Chrissy is hosting over at  Little Red Wagon.

I love this little penguin from the My Favorite Things stamp set Penguins in Paradise.

He's doing what I do best...just laying around soaking up the sun !

Don't forget to check out what all the other girlfriends are doing at their day at the beach.

Embellish it!

Hi, Happy Wednesday!

This week at Little Red Wagon the challenge hostess is Imke and she says to " Embellish it!"

...so I did:

I started with a very light grey card base and

embellished that with a white Lattice die cut (from Cherry Lynn Designs)

I die cut a heart and then silver embossed

a  Happy Anniversary (from Stampin' up- Tiny Tiny Wishes)

and then embellished the heart with pearls!

It took me a long time to think of a way to embellish and still keep to my clean and simple style.

I hope you like it.

'till next time,

Doni

Wheels

Hi!

A new challenge is starting at
Double D Challenges.

Wheels

We'd like to see something that has wheels.

To get you started, here's an inspiration board:

I was looking through my dies and I came across the perfect thing that has wheels!

 So, here's what I made:

What's really fun about this die is that the tiny white brad makes the hood moveable..you know, to keep the sun out of baby's eyes!

The sentiment was typed using the computer and the die used is from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you'll have fun playing along and have a chance at winning this prize:

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hugs,

Doni

Here comes the sun!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

For today's Challenge at Little Red Wagon

Kate has chosen the Challenge title of "Here comes the sun", so

all is good if our projects include a sun .

I had a lot of fun playing with die-cuts ...here's what I used:

MFT Die-namics - large sun

Neat & Tangled - Hello summer dies

Impression Obsession dies - glasses

Lawn Fawn - simple fluffy cloud frames

The little word fun was made on the computer in Word by creating a box

( in this case a rectangular strip)

and inside the box I printed my name ..then auto filled the background of the box black.

I saved this and now when I want a word on black I just call up the saved box ,

backspace to remove my name and type in whatever word I want and print it.

Easy Peasy!

This week I'm also playing along with the Unicorn Challenge Blog.

thanks for looking

'till next time,

Doni

lovely day

Hi!

This is what I worked on today:

Not my best effort!  I had seen a picture of a beautiful blouse on of all places...facebook!

This blouse was silky and on the left sleeve and upper chest area it had glittery outline leaves cascading down ...so back to my card.... the water color background is ok, not great but ok.

Then I stamped the leaves with Versamark and embossed with gold, but I grabbed the flat gold not the glittery gold. Not good...so now you have to hold it three ways to Sunday to see any golden shine!

But anyhow, this will be a good card to send to my sister-in-law. She's very non-judgemental ...and she loves me!

'till next time,

Doni

3-D Embossing

Hello!

A friend of mine introduced me to some beautiful 3-D Embossing Folders by Lisa Horton .

This is the card I made using one of those folders called "Budding Bloom".

I colored one of the flowers and leaves with my Copics.

The Hello is a die from Simon Says Stamp that I cut once from yellow

and once from green , then put them together slightly askew.

I really like the look of this...I've gained a new love of embossing!

Going to link this up over at Can You Handle The Pressure?

Thanks for looking!

Make it with circles

Hi!

It's time for challenge #665 over at Little Red Wagon

This week Brenda would like us to "make it with circles".

First I got out my storage container of EKsuccess nesting circle punches,

and punched a bunch !

I ended up using the 1 1/2 ", 1 1/4", 1", and 3/4" punches.

These came in handy to create a cute face similar to the ones I saw on Pinterest.

...and here's what I put inside:

This was so much fun.

Well, I hope this made you smile!

 Thanks for stopping by!
'Til next time,
Doni

Lighthouse

A new challenge is starting at
Double D Challenges.

Lighthouse

Here's the inspiration board to help get you started:

You could be a Top Creative Winner or the winner chosen by random draw

 for the prize below.

Here's what I created:
I started by watercoloring a background for the one and only lighthouse stamp I have .
Watercoloring is fun, adding plain water first and then add the color and watch it run.

I used the stamp from Inkadinkado (costal) and a stamp from Lawn Fawn for the sentiment.
The grey border is a die from Memory Box called wrapped stitched frames.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs,

Doni
